Title: cruise control

hi ive just had my first omega cdx 2.5 v6 1994 and love it to bits ive been told from the previous owner it has got cruise control but he never said how it works
on the indicator stalk they are 3 buttons
1 with 0 on it
1 with r on it
1 with l on it
can anyone help with what these are for and how it works

Under the first couple of pics is what the buttons do.... Note the extra buttons to I increase or set, R resume and switch O off the cruise.

Also, the cruise does not work under, i think, about 19 mph.

thanks for the info
ill give it a try
just gotta get a new mot on it
gotta replace n-s-f bottom arm and a few bulbs i hope thats all it will need
