I don't like all that making a letter look like something else. Sometimes it just looks plain daft. I'm not even plod and it pisses me off. :-?

Yep quite agree, winds me up along with the wrong spacing.
The only one I saw that i'll let them off for the illegal spacing was on an astra estate: P45 U GO

there's been a couple i like, BAD 130Y was once on a capri many years ago, and a land rover defender local to me had MAD 4 1T, also there's a merc local to me with 1 WON
;D
apart from that, the mis-spacing and letter disfiguring also annoys the life out of me!!
i wasnt a fan of private plates at one point until i bought one, a reg with a year letter and single digit, and my initials
would love a dateless plate but they climb into their thousands
another local car has 52 DR, and i was e-mailed by a website offering me DPR 823 for £1600 :(

Many moons ago, I had an old BSA Bantam with the reg "LSD 56". Bet that's worth considerably more than the £30 I got for the bike and reg then !.
