Hi Guys.
Could anybody tell me about pre heaters, I have a 2.2 diesel, in the morning I turn the ignition key and the pre heater symbol lights up but just for about 1 second then goes out, I then turn the key but she does not fire straight away, just as though the pre heaters are not working, should the pre heater symbol stay on longer than one second, should it not stay on untill the pre heaters have reach heating temprature??? If the heaters are knackered, is it a big job to replace them, and does anybody have any idea how much they cost.

My diseasal Astra G glow plug light is on for about 10 secs. :-/
Sorry but I know bu66er all about the oil burner Omegas. :y :y

sounds ;ike some of the glow plugs are knackered prob only got 1 or 2 working which takes less time to heat up hence the short light and difficult starting bang a new set in they will cost around 30 at a guess, :y
