Title: Transmission Fluid

Hi Guys

Have a 2.5TD 1995 and can seem to find where to check the transmission fluid under the hood

You can't...  The auto boxes don't have a tank under the bonnet for this.  They have a top up hole which is down on the box itself, so you'll be right underneath the car to check that one.

Generally - if it's running smooth then it's probably best left.  If you've got 80,000 miles on the clock, and don't know when the last change was then it's probably worth changing it.  Although saying that, I had 130,000 on mine and had only topped it up after changing the radiator (where some leaked out).

My Traktor has done 142K miles on same fluid & still behaves perfectly

I aggree. the car is fine so will leave it only had the car for 2 weeks so still learning but i think so far its the best i have ever had
