Title: extra connections

Hi guys and gals,
Got a couple of connections on either side of my 2.5 facelift estate (gls). When I open the compartment where the warning triangle and first aid box is kept and on the other side the compartment where the fuel solenoid is there is wiring looms with what looks like ear plug type connectors coming from both looms. Cannot find out where they go.
could be for accessories?.
