Title: Ebay coil pack?
Post by: eddie on 05 October 2008, 21:27:58
Spotted this just now

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-2-5-3-0-V6-IGNITION-COIL-017-12713_W0QQitemZ370080854683QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item370080854683&_trkparms=72%3A1299|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Has anyone dealt with this seller--more to the point,is this a genuine part or a dodgy aftermarket copy??

as it lists an intermotor part number plus the fact he has got 80 odd of them i would say a copy, perhaps somebody will enlighten you on the seller / quality of part.

Thats bloody expensive for a pattern item!

Have a look here:

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=vauxhall+v6+coil

Expect to pay around 70-80 quid for a Bosch aprt (OE) or about 30-40 quid for a pattern item.

I cant comment on the quality of the pattern parts as the DIS apckas are reliabel to the point where I have never personaly needed to change one on any of my cars!

I bought a replacement from vauxcentre.co.uk £55 works fine without issue.

http://www.vauxcentre.co.uk/index.php?product_id=906581&option=Prod_detail&image_id=525660

website says '94-'98 but my '99 X30XE seems perfectly happy with it.

it's loose under the bonnet wedged between block and oil filler pipe. only trouble is a very slight rattle when pulling at low revs (low being 600rpm)

I really ought to mount it properly....
