I'd just like to say thanks for the recent tips on painting plastic. I painted the laptop base using acrylic cans from Halfords, and it worked out pretty well. Maybe not perfect, but more than adequate for an Xmas pres.

It looks pretty good, I might end up keeping it myself !

I like the texture of the grass, it's very realistic. Isn't it amazing what you can do with Halfords spray paint. :y

That's actually clear, you can see the table !. There is enough space for the fan heat to go out the RHS, and open the CD on the LHS, what more do you need !. Ancient saying " a clean desk is the sign of a sick mind", or someone who hasn't enough to do. Talking about space, you would be surprised the space laptops take up when they are stripped. And there is all those screws and fixings, which I always seem to have a few left over!, just like working on the car.

Er I doubt very much if there is a "cat in hell's chance" of the TTs being on this machine in the future. Its a Clevo 5620D which used to be all the rage for the gaming comunity because of its ATI graphics. My son seems to spend a lot of time playing games, so this seemed a good idea for a pres. Talking of which, I think I have just found him the perfect job. "A company wants a functional tester to check pre-release video games for bugs. This would suit somebody who plays games for at least 15-20hrs a week". Stuff working for a living !!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
