Hi, After looking for the cause of my missfire I found No. 6 plug lead seperated from the plug cap and badly burnt, can you please tell me what the best HT leads are ??
Thanks Mike
-
Best leads are the Vauxhall ones, they can be bought seperatley but should be changed in sets, and they are sided on the V6 ie: left bank & right bank but they are not cheap.
-
Its a tough call.
Beware of some, if they say to fit the Vectra then they are tight on an Omega (the plug hole is deeper due to the different cam cover gaskets!)
The originals are made by Beru.....so you could try giving these guys a call as they are a Beru distributor :y

Thanks for that ! I will take your advice and change the lot (Coz she's worth it lol)
Do you think it would have caused any other problems ?
-
Thanks Mark I will give them a try.

I've used these:-
10mm 4 core leads (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170260428784&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38.l1313%26_nkw%3D170260428784%26_fvi%3D1)
The only problem is the nearside bank is a bit long, but think thats an issue with all aftermarket sets
Price is fairly cheap compared to Magnecor!!

I'm not sure you can actually get beru leads any more as you certainly can not for the 2.0xe. Give AutoVaux a call as they sorted me out big time and their prices beat main dealer to death. Even with trade club AV saved me about £20 :o

I would never pay vx 200 quid for a set of leads.
Bosch leads can usually be found on feegay for around 45 ,they work fine. :y
-
Hi,
If you take out a membership of the AUTOBAHNSTORMERS which costs £20 anually you can not only get a set of leads from them for £35 inc. delivery which i found to be an excellent fit and quality :y but will supply you with a Trade Card so you can save on future purchases from VX Dealers :).
HTH,
Pete.
