Title: MASS AIR FLOW PROBLEMS?

mass air flow? need some help here folks before i go and blow 100 quid plus on a new meter!
  i have a engine light on constantly on my 2.6 cdx, code reads 73 (maf low voltage). WILL A REPLACEMENT CURE THE FAULT?
 revs inconsistant and lumpy on low end.
 what action should i take as i refuse flatly to go to a dealer!

It could be anything flagging that code..... don't limit it to the MAF itself...

First step is to check for air leaks - do a vacc test ...

doubt its maf - maf failures are rare on v6. Its normally another problem (airleak, vac leak, stuck egr (not on yours), etc)

maybe check wiring to maf and connectors...? Too right re dealers. Youll fit in well here.  :y
