Title: Omega Dimensions
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 12 October 2008, 17:34:47
Anyone have the overall width and length of the Miggy Saloon and Estate.

TIA.   :y

Also, a bit of an odd ball question.  Does any one know the measurement from the rear wheel to the outer part of the rear bumber .  Need it to make a wheel stop to reverse into a cofined erea. (Need to fix or concrete something in place to stop damaging the car (Stuff the building)

TIA   :y :y :y

Use a plumb (a sting with a weight on it) and a bit of chalk. Mark the wheel's position on the ground and then hang the string at the end of the car. Make another mark and use a tape measure.

For the 1st question on length, use the plumb at the front of the car and then use a tape measure again.

A friend of mine has a tennis ball hanging from his garage ceiling to mark when to stop. As soon as it touches the windscreen he stops.

In old money...

Both 6' 5.1" wide

Saloon 15' 8.5" long
Estate 15' 9.7" long

IIRC, Wightlink ask if it's more than 16' long.

Good idea with the tenis ball.

Mine will be for and outside setup, but I will be reversing and parking close to my bay window, was thinking thinking of making something that sticks up from the ground till I get used to it.

Did Vx do a reversing sensor kit that would suit my Elite.?

Or will I have to go for an after market kit.

When I had my Carltons I could park them within a CM of the front or back of the car, for some reason I find the Mig completly different, but then I have done the same mileage it 2 years in the migs that I used to do in 2 months with the Carltons.

Might fit parking sensors if I can get hold of a nice replacement bumper. :y :y
