Title: Replacement Key 2000 Facelift CDX
Post by: murse on 14 October 2008, 18:18:21
Simple question, could not find an answer through search so apologies if answered previously.

My car came with only 1 key and does not have a 'car pass' despite having a receipt in the history for replacing it.

Obviously need to get a replacement/spare key (not worried about remote locking buttons on this one).

Can anyone confirm what is involved?  Is it a Vauxhall only job or is there a (preferably cheaper) option elsewhere?  Car has alarm, immobiliser and is RF remote.

As always, any advice much appreciated!  :)

Hi. There was a thread within the last few weeks about 'Mr Minit' the shoe repair & key cutting chain and no ID required, they take it from the original. Apparently they charged about IIRC £25ish. Good luck  :y

8 quid off ebay, no remote on it. Make sure you get the right one!!

Contact markdtm or theboy for programming or go to ur vx dealer if you dont mind getting ripped off.

Carpass was 20 quid when i got it done for our old facelift 2.0 cd, they need to see id and your logbook.
