Hello all,
Way back in history I found this site after a botch didn't tighten my cambelt tensioner properly! Avoiding main dealers with whom I lost faith a few years ago I couldn't find any garage interested in undertaking the repair job. Following excellent guides in the technical area and with superb swift responses from many site members, I went for open heart surgery myself during evenings and week ends and... this evening I turned her over and was pleased to hear her start with very little problem; no eml.
I can't express enough thanks to you all especially; JamesV6, Timbuk Andy B, Razzo, Sev, Marks DTM, Serek, and Chris Gixer. I know I have missed people off this list but without trying to search for my many historical pleadings for help I can't find every body so if I have rudely missed you please accept my apologies and let me know. Simply superb! Thanks all!!! :y :y :y :y :y
Before I go: I was putting the down-pipes back on with the car on one axle stand under the front right. The L/H down pipe was about an inch off allignment (and I gave up after much poetry) I hope this will go on OK when I back her out of the garage tomorrow for more space. ( I suppose it's going to rain.) But yippee anyway!!!! :D ;D
Many thanks,
Martin ;D ;D ;D :y :y :y

Whilst trying to guide the front pipe on, push the centre silencer rearwards with your foot :y

Well done Martin [smiley=thumbup.gif]. You can now sit back and relax with a tipple to celebrate having your car on the road again & not having lined the pockets of a local mechanic. [smiley=thumbup.gif] :y
