Title: Fuse box door under wheel keeps falling open ???
Post by: tampon on 20 October 2008, 13:53:23
It has done this a few times, but I just lifted my thigh and it clipped back into place.

Last night I was driving back to London from Dorset and I had the cruise on, sat in a nice comfy position, when I decide to go to the services on the M3, went to put my foot on the brake to knock the cruise off and the door from the fuse box cover under the wheel had flipped down and covered the pedals !!!!

Luckily there was no traffic on the road and i reached down and lifted the cover back up but missed the turning for the services. God knows what would have happened if it had been standing traffic ahead

Now this is bloody dangerous, any one else have this problem ? whats the best way to fix it.

wow, thats a worry. There should be a plastic "tie" to stop it dropping past the level position. They get broke easy so thats probably what has happened to yours. As for the  catch, never been in there but sounds like something is sticking. A bit of silicon spray maybe?
