Hi all,
finally I found a passenger wing miror.
But before I break anything I would like to ask for some advice regarding disassembling the mirror:
- Does the mirror glass come off "just" via carefully pulling at the verges of the glass (just clipsed)?
- I need to respray the cover. I could see one nose from the cover behind the mirror glass. Am I right that it is fairly easy to remove the cover once the mirror glass is removed?

BTW: If somebody could host the pictures and if it is regarded useful I don't mind documenting the work steps necessary!

I was told that the mirror just clips in place and the way to remove it was to push one corner in and gently lever the exposed edge out then disconnect the two wires for the heated mirror.
I have not tried it yet so go carefully, you don't want to crack the glass. I would NOT use a screwdriver as lever, use something softer (like wood?) if leverage needed.

def. Interested in your guide re you fancy doing one. I have to do both my scuffed covers inhereted from previous laidy owner or may have been handed down to Swtsmbo. Dont know what to do about the high heal scratches on the sil tho.
Host your pics on to photobucket and then copy the "direct link" between the [img] here[img] symbols when you click the image icon on the reply page. Easy when you get the hang of it. :-)

allright than. I will give it a try approx. next weekend and I will take pictures of all steps. As soon as done I try and get my head arround how to get it published.

This is correct, and the reason I know this is because I clipped my wing mirror of a parked car's mirror while driving, and the impact caused the mirror glass to pop-out, hanging by the wires... the other car had no damage because it own mirror just folder... my initial thought was b****y h**l I'll need a new mirror, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to simply clip the glass bit back in place.
