Title: EML on all the time
Post by: GEDFORDM6 on 19 October 2008, 14:35:32
Hi,just changed cam cover gaskets, spark plugs and leads on 3L V6 and have now got it running after a mix up with firing order(thanks for the help here, great site). I now have a permanent EML,never had one before work and have checked all connections.Could it be the misfires recorded during ht mix up?How do I get rid of light? Thanks in advance.

Check also to see if knock or cam sensor wires trapped under camcover :)

My car is a 1995 3.0l elite, not sure how to add it to my profile! I have checked all connections and nothing is trapped under the cam covers.Done paper clip test and got the following codes 14  145 144 82  83  19    I dont think the engine is as smooth running as before and wondering if the firing order is still wrong and causing these fault codes ?Does anyone have a picture of position of HT leads as if you were looking at the DIS through the passenger glove box.Thanks,Ged..

Right, did you disconnect the leads from the injectors.....or did you use the large multiplug.

If you did the former, check they are plugged back on correctly (a common mistake!)
