Hi, as i've just said in a wellcome section i'm experiencing some troubles with my 2.2 CD omega 01 at the moment.
It drives absolutely fine but as long as there is no hill involved. Once i drive up the hill and have to stop at the traffic light which is at the wery end of it, that's it. The gear box doesn't really want to shift to the second gear. And the engine is reving its 'dangle berries' off at least for another 50 metres after i pass the hill, then everything goes to normal. At some rare ocassions when i manage to pass that light without stopping nothing unusuall happens.
Can someone give me a piece of advice? Thank you.

is it an auto or manual?

My guess is an auto box with low fluid ... check the fluid level as it says here ...

I've had that problem, about 5 years ago when it was under warranty.
Dealer replaced the gearbox ECU, and updated the software.
How far are you from Nottingham, or Brackley (Northants.)?
You need to get the gearbox read with a TechII as a matter of urgency, and the software updated.
MarksDTM lives in Nottingham, or TheBoy lives in Brackley.

Thanks for that tip. I live in London so it's a bit of a distance for me to go to Nottingham. Maybe Brackley. Well.. will have to compare prices really.

Kevin Wood also has one at the moment in Alton Hampshire.
I would check fluid level first though,as that is the most common cause of problems with auto transmissions. :y
