Title: Oil Leaks
Post by: Spirited1 on 29 October 2008, 15:26:57
Hi
i'm a newbie, with a problem. Not being mechanically minded, I am having problems with my S Reg Omega 2.5 petrol. Oil leak to be exact, is there a common fault with this vehicle, its got approx 100k with FSH.
However i think my mechanic is taking the P**s out of the fact i am not a mechanic and has been fixing and replacing all sorts, rocker box gasket, dip stick, sump gasket, and some other seals!
I know change my mechanic (i am looking for one on recommendation), in the meantime i need some advice on the leak, if possible.
The current mechanic is saying there is a flap on the dip stick that is not working, so the pressure is building when the engine is running and blowing oil out - is this feesible.
Thanks for your help  :)
