Title: Fault code

hi all the engine management light came on on a couple of days ago the fault code is
P1523 Electronic Throttle Control Malfunction
what does this mean in english?
the car ran rough for a few seconds and then cleared itself.
its a 03 plate 3.2 manual

any ideas?

Er, dont see that number on Entwoods list of obd2 codes. I presume with the p in front you got it from a code reader of some sort? Or pedal trick. Are you sure thats correct number?
