Title: disarm radio code ?

just wanted to no if its possable to disarm( if thats the right word) the radio code fuction so i can disconect battery without needing the code (that i havent got) when i reconect it, its a standard cd player head unit and its in the car now fully working but i will be needing to disconect the battey on the car to do a few jobs

You can on some of the older cd changers, but not the head units themselves.

You can disable the code on a CCR2006. Just follow the procedure to enter the code (from memory, hold down AS until prompted, then enter the code). This toggles protection on and off, so you can turn it off if you're going to be disconnecting the battery frequently, and re-enable it afterwards.  :y

To disable the code.....you need the code.
