Title: Engine replacement
Post by: grennanp on 05 November 2008, 16:17:35
I have a 1999 2.0L auto but unfortunately the engine hsa died on me. I am trying to buy a replacement of someone. Is there a difference between the engine in a 2.0L auto and a 2.0L manual ?

Cheers...... :question

You will have to swap the flywheel  from one engine to the other and ensure that a spigot bearing is fitted in the end of the crankshaft to support the nose of the manual gearbox input shaft as an engine from an automatic car won't have this installed.

and an extra bearing on the manual type, which can be retrofitted when engine is out
