Are you losing any fluids -  oil, coolant..?

Does it smell?

Petrol something wrong. What engine do you have? Fill in your profile too. It helps people to help you.

as above really, I'm a bus driver and the turbo went on my bus and the amount of black smoke that came out of the exhaust was unreal. Suggest you get your turbo pressure checked, just in case

Tractors do smoke a bit.  Supermarket fuels seem to make it worse.

Give it a full and proper service, so you have it in a known condition, and go from there.
