Title: Ex BMW automatic gearbox

I have a 2.5TD with a failed auto box - it's the second gearbox in the car and it failed after 110,000 miles, typical mileage from an AR25 I'm told.
I have a chance to get a box from a BMW 525 Diesel with a failed engine. A quick look tells me this is a GM box and I've seen elsewhere that BMW only fitted the AR35 box in their cars.
Has anybody tried an ex-BMW box in an Omega? Any problems that might trip me up? Is it possible? :)

bmw e34 use GM box ar35 like you say same box is on 3.0 omega and plobely chipper  then bmw
