Title: Removing rear seat back side panels
Post by: VXL V6 on 17 November 2008, 17:07:59
Is there a knack to removing the side panels on the outer edges of the rear seat back on a facelift saloon? Haven't had chance to take a close look but thought i'd ask here before I broke anything!

TIA
Andy

Remove seat base (2 pull things that you erm pull and seat base comes out)...then at the bottom of the seat panels you will see there is a tag that is slotted through the bottom of the panel and bent over...unbend it pull the bottom of the panel through and lift out...

Then to remove seat backs...13mm nut either side of the centre armrest to undo...and 2 10mm bolts the other end of each back panel, hidden behind the lining of the chassis behind the seats...you pull/flip up to reveal the bolts...should be obvious when you do it :)

Just need to get the n/s panel out so I can feed a wiring loom down into the wiring conduit that then runs down the sill.  :y
