Title: Speedo illumination
Post by: Tonka. on 24 November 2008, 16:46:11
Can anybody tell me how to remove the dash. Need to replace one (all) of the bulbs which illuminate the speedo etc.

Also what is the bulb part number ?

Thanks guys  ;)

Yes it is as you need to take the top half of the steering column cowling off to facilitate the removal of the clocks unit.  ::) ::)

Just turn your steering wheel to 6 and the 12 o'clock and you will then see two screws either side of the housing facing you that the steering wheel in the "level" position hides. The screws may have plastic covers on them which can be just "popped off" to access the screws. 8-) 8-)

NOT a hard job, but can be awkward getting the clock unit out even with the top of the steering column cowling removed.  Just wriggle it out towards the centre of the car! :y :y
