is the pic from behind the glovebox/ behind the left hand side of the central control thingy?
looks alot like one of the radio standard iso? connectors

The pic was taken with the glovebox removed, its not a stereo iso as its too thin :-?

Pre-wiring for a phone kit, you can link to it with an 'Autolead' adaptor
-
Its the standard fit telephone loom connector
-
Ahh ok, what do I need to get to plug into this?
ta muchly :y

An 'Autoleads' adapter to your phone kit
-
ok, assuming I was to get this adaptor, what would this enable?
Afaik there is no mic in the car, and the stereo is not the Bose one with built in phone gubbins.
Im amazed that i havent come accross this yet on any of my other omegas, even later ones that I have broke for spares.

Check out the courtesy light....normaly has a mic in there
-
Erm nope, just your run of th mill interior light with delay and eyeball maplights. maybe since a phone kit wasnt installed when the car was new they skimped out on that bit aswell. tho I dont recall seeing any mic wiring when I changed the sunroof motor a while back.
Maybe I should tuck it away from where it came from and pretend I never saw it. but then.... Its a new challenge. :D

It allows you to connect a handsfree car kit (such as Nokia, Motorola etc) to the cars +12v, switched +12v, 0v, mute, mic, audio in (via head unit) through a simple plug rather than hacking the wiring.

Apparently not even all those that should've had a mic (as in CCRT700) had one fitted. :-?
