Ok thanks for that mate.Is taking the sump off and replacing the gasket an easy job.I had alook under there quickly and just looks like loads of 10mm bolt.Do i just undo them and it comes off and also do i need to use a sealer for the gaskets if so whats the best to use

On my 1992 2.0v carlton cdi we had to undo the engine mountings and raise the engine slightly to gove enough room to get the sump completely off (due to oil pick up pipe) made it easier to clean the mating surfaces and apply the new gasket.

cheers :y

you might want to use something like blue hylomar on the gasket, not only does it aid sealing but it holds it in place, nothing worse than getting under there & the gasket keeps moving about ;D
