Title: Brake disc service limit

Hi I need to get my rear discs skimmed, can anybody tell what the service limit is? not sure how many types there are but the car is a 2002 2.2DTi estate CDX .

im sure from memory the minimum on the single discs is 10/12mm and twin vented are 20mm

most discs have min size stamped or cast on them,get the wire brush out. ;D most found on outside face. :y

I think you'd be very lucky to skim your discs true ... and is it worth it against the cost of new?

Why would you do this? I think they are only about £80 for a pair of rear disc's at Vauxhall with Trade Club Card £120 ish without...
