Any information/tips for towing with a 2003 2.2 petrol Omega, please. It is in excellent condition abiet with 91000 on the clock,I have done 55000 of these and have been having it serviced at a main dealer (very good service) also I have a Vauxhall warranty for a further 2 years so anything that has gone wrong I have had it done.
This is the second Omega I have had and I am very pleased with it, the first one did 110000 miles with the only problem being the ECU, which Vauxhall replaced foc at 85000 miles!
Any info would be welcome.

I would personally say the 2.2 would be underpowered for towing. Better off with a 3.0 really, and the economy is no worse on the V6.
Can't say I've ever seen an ECU fail!

No problem towing with 2.2 Omega. OK, as JamesV6CDX says, it won't win any races with the van on the back, but it will do the job.
If its an auto, consider changing the ATF a bit more regular, as it will work harder. No need for auto oil cooler, as it already has one.

Obviously depends what dero is towing! ;) He'll struggle with a big twin axle whatever but a little Eriba will tow as though it's not there! ;D ;D ;D :y
Assuming of course he is talking about caravans and not a bike trailer etc :y

You'll be OK towing 'just' 1200kgs. My 'van is somewhere around 1300kg, but I tow with a 3.0 Don't forget that it's not the going you need to concerned with but the stopping! ;) ;)
You might need to drive it a little harder with your 'van on the back but I don't think you'll need worry too much.

No problem for your weight 1209kg.
I tow a 1460kg caravan with my 2.5TD estate, admit it may be heavier kerbweight than yours but your should be well capable of towing that weight. Check it yourself with the link below.

920kg loaded to about 1300kg (yes it does have a big payload) easy work for a V6 - needed to thrash a 2.0
