have you any other problems with it ??? try cleaning breathers that will help a lot ! :y
-
i it is no t my car yet.
i am now looking for a car for everyday use. and found one. but it has this problem.
it is normal for this engine
and question is to by or not to bay this one.
you think problem is just "cleaning breathers" !?
can it bee piston rings, or something else more expensiv ?
this is old car produced 1996.
-
of course there is "milk cream" on breather cup and neck.
but i think it's from "short runs"
-
Does it have Vectra metal cam covers?
-
!?
what`s difference ?
-
With normal Omega plastic covers when the breather system is not maintained the com cover gaskets fail due to the build up of pressure...fairly minor job...
With Vectras and Omegas which have the metal Vactra covers the seal is stronger so instead of the pressure releasing there...it moves on to the next available release point...generally the crank seal (I think it is) which is a common failure on Vectras which share the same block and heads...

if I understand correctly.
this kind of engine breathing (lot of smoke from crank case ) for Omega 2.5l V6 engine is normal !?
and it is not a first sign about dead engine !?
Just need to clean breathers and thats all !?
-
If its steam, then normal...condensation

If its steam, then normal...condensation
its not chris its oil vapour ! quite normal on older engines but breathers need to be clean to get rid of them take the oil cap off any engine and it will puff a bit ! :y

Agree with Markey, doesn't look excessive to me
