Hi, had to change the battery on my 2.2 51 reg auto, but a few things came up -
- Speedo does not work (revs do)
- ABS light stays on
- no power from the radio
Is there something I need to do?
Cheers

Well you will need to enter your radio code (and cd multiplayer of you have one), but not sure about the other problems. Nothing else has happened has it?
-
Check the fuses in the fusable link housing, lso check all connections to and from the battery, this is assuming that this has only happened after changing the battery and that you werent having this trouble before.
cheers

I know about the radio code but I thought it had to be on before you could enter it?
Prior to changing the battery, I had a few successful jump starts, but it finally packed up after a failed attemp. The leads got a bit hot so I didn't want to risk it. Could this have done any damage?

Which leads got hot ? If the jump leads then this is not unexpected.

Yes, just the jump leads, little bit of sparking. Mone of the above problems were there before the failed jump.

Checked the fuses ?
-
I will tmrw, which ones should I check?
Have read on here about the ABS ECU - hope its not related!
-
Yes. speedo and abs are linked but so is the power steering. if thats ok then its just down to diagnostic checks.
Good luck you can find the fault !

No 6 for radio - fuse not present?!
-
fuse not present? Did the radio work before?
What model radio do you have? Mine has a fuse in the back or radio as well, maybe yours is the same?
-
he radio was fine before, never been a fuse so I guess it could be at the back of the radio - it's the radio with no tape and six numbered buttons, same as
