Title: Dodgy injector on 2.5td ?

I have an imbalance or slight judder when revs drop to idle which lasts a few seconds then evens out. Car is giving 41/42 mpg on the daily 6 mile run to work (1.5 mile A-road...roundabout..1.5 mile A-road...roundabout...and so on).
It's running fine apart from this slight judder. I'm thinking dodgy injector. Any other ideas as to a possible cause ?
How do I test the injector ?

check for air leak infuel lines

Ok, thanks for that. Would you rule out a dodgy injector ?

depends on year of car which will make a difference to what makes eml light come on

2.5td ('00) with about 98k on the clock.  No eml illuminated.
