I just pulled out my stereo to change it to a DVD player and I found a hose, it only seems to blow cold air, the glove box has no connector that I can see so I don't think it's for that, I can't see anywhere that it should plug in, and it's cut at an angle, is it there to cool the stereo or something? Or is it meant to plug into something? Please see picture below
Thanks

Does your glovebox have a slider at the back (looking inside) of it? Some models have a cooling feature for the glove box. It could be for that.

I don't see any hole in the glove box, to be honest It's a very short hose, I don't think it would reach far

It was added in 2000 to add additional cool air feed for the sat nav units which were optional fit.

Can this be fitted to the minifacelifts? Maybe handy for cooling my PC Screen! :y

It's nice to know that it's meant to be like that, fitting the DVD player was a pig of a job, I didn't feel like pulling it out again, the stereo still sounds like crap, so I will fit some better speakers soon, I should have bought an Elite
