Post by: husam on 31 December 2008, 10:21:08
3.2 2003
I feel the car is over heating
temp gauge just crosses 90 deg cooling fans starts and cools down to below 90 deg. I can also smell the overheat. Is that normal?????

We have six miggs in our family and there all dif some fans cut in at 90 others right upto 98 being mostly 2.6 and 3.0 my new 3.2 cuts at 92. might the smell be rocker cover gaskets? burning oil over outlet exhuaust?

The temp gauges are not massively accurate......your operation sounds absolutely fine to me

Sounds like its working fine to me...

I posted this last night on another thread:
Quote
I think a lot of people get confuesed and assume a car is overheating the second the radiator fan kicks in! Which on the V6 lumps is fairly quickly.

My gran did anyway last summer when I was doing something with her fiesta... It was sat ticking over in the garage for a while, and as she came in to see whats happening the fan came on, and she was flapping about saying 'its overheating turn it off quickly'  :P
