Title: Plenum breather hoses clips
Post by: NickA on 01 January 2009, 18:13:07
Are these the right type of pliers to refit the hose clips on the three breather pipes at the back of the plenum?

Hi
No, look at sealey products, they are called C clip pilers which lets you unlock the clips and close them again, they are usable ;)

There is no screaming pressure in those lines.  Cableties are more than enough, most pipes can easily stay there by push pressure alone....

That's what I use and haven't had any problems with them.
To remove just cut them off and replace when refitting.

Those pipes dont need any securing at all......as they are less than atmospheric pressure with the engine running!

For peace of mind I used cable ties on mine.
