...as the title, points directly down at the head unit area. Why? What for?
Only had the car 7months and never noticed until i pointed at something out to the left, to passengers, and my hand went orange...?
-
It's just soft lighting for the centre consol area :)
-
Funny that - I did exactly the same thing when driving at christmas and just noticed the light then.
No idea what it's for - some nice 'soft' interior lighting? :-?
-
Take it this light is only on the facelift mirrors? :-?
-
i guess its only on facelift elites??
did discuss the soft lighting thing with said passengers, some of whome have owned vw/audis with similar lights which are fairly obvious as i remember asking what they where for.
Omega version seems so "soft" it took me 7 months to notice i even had it ::)

There's a supplement leaflet with my Owners manual that talks about
"Automatic-regulated centre console lighting"
"Spot light in housing for interior mirror" " Light-sensitive automatic control of centre console lighting when ignition is on"
I guess it must be this. I retro fitted an auto dipping mirror from a facelift Elite and it doesn't have it. Leaflet is dated Jan 2002 so maybe Elites after this date?

Not on my facelift but it is an early one. Well not that I've noticed in a year of ownership. Now Im going to have to go take a look.
