Title: Oil Leak (with pics)
Post by: scooby_doo_do on 04 January 2009, 15:13:53
Well i've changed the cam cover gaskets but i still have a leak, and can see oil on the sump. So i used some degreasent around the area and left to idle to see if it drips but nothing.
Took it for a spin around the block and noticed some more oil - so it only does it under load.

Here's the pics...

As you can see it looks like it's coming from the sensor (or whatever that is?)

Any idea's how to fix it?

Thanks

Craig.

i had oil in the same place, changed the sensor an it still had oil there, done crank seal an stopped the leak, oil was getting thrown around when the pulley turning.

fairly easy, but you have to take the timing belt off to do it,with it removed, you already have the pulley off for removal, then you take the gear like pulley off to get to the seal, then replace everything in reverse order
