hi central locking not working on a 95 omega, all locks work on key, replaced battery in fob and still no go so where next?
-
could be the actuator
-
is that in the door?
-
yes- there have been a few posts recently about it - just type in door actuator or solenoid in the search and it should give more info
-
ok thanks tried central locking not working in search and came up empty
-
looked at threads and it seams there is a actuator in each door do
i have 2 change them all and what does one look like? and is the a way 2 test them?
-
you dont have to replace them all just the faulty ones ! best way to check is sit inside car and push down drivers door lock and see which ones go down ! then try from passenger door ! :y
-
done as suggested and it only works on the drivers side door all three of the other doors dont work.just wondering as this is a base model if this has other actuators
-
I would have thought even the base model has central locking :).
Have you tried to see if the fuse that works the system has blown :question, just an idea :y.
-
to be honest i didnt check the fuse as i can lock it with the key,do u no what number fuse it is? thanks
-
Fuse no 20.....20amp. :y
-
Also check the battery carrier in the fob, mine had a broken connector to the circuit board, repaired it with a small length of thin wire and a bloody small soldering iron tip. To check its operation--does the red LED light up on the fob when you press a button?

no rear blind or seat heating and the interior light works
-
fuse must be ok then. if you use the key in the drivers door, do any of the other locks work, ie open or close?.

ok hopefull i can have a lok at christmas,i presume that the soleniod is next to the lock and must have some electric wires on it .since checking the fuse the other day the interior light has now stopped working but the two map lights still work.the car has a mind of its own!!
-
is it not a main solenoid in the hidden side doors in the trunck? at least on my stationwagon...
-
well ive had man flu over the holidays but checked yesterday the interior light and found a loose /worn wire, resolded it and interior light now works again thought i had solved proplem but still no t working. am going to get another battery for the fob as light doesnt look to bright and try again
