i went into a local supermarket and parked in the furthest space possible. on my return some twŁt had practically leaned their car on mine giving my missus a few inches to get in and leaving a nice "jean popper" scratch on my rear passenger door. these boneheads make me mad- there was loads of free spaces, it seems these prats seek my car down!!!!!!
guess what i done?...........

Problem is, if car A arrives, dings your car, grabs a paper and pie, then makes themselves scarce, then car B pulls up and you start ranting and raving... I'd be looking at CCTV footage, then report to police for failing to stop after an accident, or criminal damage.

sods law states that every time i park my car and it gets damaged in some way the cameras are always off or pointing in the other direction!!!!

I once heard of a Canadian motorist who returned to his car only to find a ding in the door from the car parked alongside
He wrote a note, thanking the owner of the offending vehicle for damaging his door............. and nailed it to the roof of the other car before driving off!

I went into the car park at Colliers wood with 2 for 1, Burger king PC world etc, there are around 100 spaces only 20 were being used I parked 20 yes 20 cars away from everyone else and a bloody ford pick up parked so close to passenger side of my car I do know how he got out.

Worse is what happened on my drive to work last night. Saw a group of people on the bridge over the A66, as I went under they dropped something onto my roof. Hit the rear left of the roof panel, scuffed the paint... scumbags - if they'd dropped it a quarter-second earlier, it's have been through the screen.
On topic, I always try to find a top-end car - Civic Type R, for example. (We don't get many Porshces round 'ere...) Something quite clean and expensive, then it's less likely that they'll be careless with their door.

What you want are "hydraulic parking spacers", so that when you park, they automatically extend from the sides of the car by at least a foot. That way anyone getting closer will damage their car, and it will be their fault. Or a couple of warning triangles, with steel backs, that flip out from the doors when you turn off the engine, if they hit them, its their fault for driving a stupid 4*4. If your are really keen, how about radar controlled, automatically lit oxy-acetylene torches that ignite as soon as someone comes within 2ft ! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'm not always like this, honest ! :y :y :y

Simply be considered as an inconsiderate parker.....
Find the furthest corner and straddle a parking bay so the white line goes through the centre of the car.....
I regularly do that at the local supermarket. No problems so far...

personally i would go back to 'customer services' ask them to put a call out for the owner of reg num ********* as the car is on fire!!!!!
When the person arrives point out the damange and ask nicely for the insurance details, if they refuse then torch the rather thing

i carry around these joke stickers with some abuse on them, he got it stuck in his view on his windscreen. the sticker glue is a bugger to pull it off and it needs washing off. the other thing i decided to do involved my own jeans........
