Title: LPG conversion - anything else I need?
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 10 November 2007, 20:44:52
Just wondering if there's anything else I need for my conversion.

I have:

Tank and valve (mounted)
Tank Vent kit
Filler
Front end kit
Clips for fuel pipe
6mm and 8mm copper pipe
Olives and compression joints
Coolant T's
Software and Com port lead
Assorted clips etc

Here is the kit I bought, (same as JayW's)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330186527772&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123

Is there anything else I may need?

Even funnier, as I was removing the pipes we lost a substantial amount of gas (more than anticipated) because the shut off valve needed tightening more.

No joke, next door neighbour came out to have a nosey, and stuck his head in my boot with a fag in his mouth !!

Once he realised gas was spewing everywhere he soon jumped back !

Vapour hose - from the varporisor to the injectors, and injectors to nozzles? I have this with the kit.

Coolant hoses etc... I plan to cobble something using my breaker Omega :y

Buy the hose - Omega pipes are too short - but you could try the one on top of the radiator

Now you mention it, probably best to buy a new length, it won't cost a lot, and I've remember a man who can supply this...

the kit comes with a long length of heater hose for breaking into the cars system

M8 nuts, bolts and spring washers, threadlock, jublee clips, a cone shaped drill bit (if you are thinking of putting the ECU in the car)

If I can safely get the loom into the cabin, the ECU definately wants to go in the car!
