Hi
Can anybody on here weild, both my front doors have broken door stays but they have broken form the door shell, was thinking of replacing doors complete if i can find some that are decent and polar sea blue and not about to break again
I have repair plates but they dont look to good and look a sod to do
Help!!! my legs have many brusies :(

The way I did mine was to find a donor door and cut out the the intact door check strap anchor point and surrounding area and replace in current door. (I don't weld myself got someone else to do it)
A bit of a long way round (as you say a bit of a sod to do - cos he told me so!) but has worked fine so far and that was 3 years ago.
...only trouble is the bottom of the door is now bubbling with rust! :(
Probably makes more sense to get a replacement door with sound check strap link anchorage and respray.......... ;) Or if you're lucky enough to find a match just a straight swap.......
My front passenger door has now started making horrible noises lately so will probably replace the plastic as in the link already suggested by Andy....
Otherwise it's two doors time! :o

if its the door end, the repair kit is cheap and easy...
