Title: engine tickover help please

anyone any ideas my engine revs are very erratic seems to tick over at about 550 rpm when stopped , sometimes revs are as high as if auto choke is still on i.e about 1100 rpm car has on 70k in miles on it , could it be idle control valve ?

Wouldn`t hurt to give ICV a clean as well as the breathers :y
