Did you see TG on Sunday? Jeremy says you can register your car as a mini-cab for £46...and not pay the congestion charge. :-/

Never watched it yesterday, but interesting as it had cost me almost a £100 this year; However, it is not that straight forward as the cabs need to display a small round green disc, with a white diaginal square either on the front of back of the mini cab, so that the cameras pick this up :-/, then you need to have insurance as a cab, I think, in any case I really don't go into central London that much or the congestion zone, however that might change soon ::)

I live in the North-West suburbs and NEVER travel into Central London by car. Much easier (though smellier) by tube.  :y

I travel into central London frequently, and pay the CC. I hate it, but not enough to buy a Prious or one of those ridiculous G-Wheez electrical mobile capsules.

LPG would be nice..... too lazy to get it done though. Wife wants an LPG car to avoid the charge, I tried to import one from Italy but failed to get it recognised over here...
