Title: Fuel (low level) Warning Light
Post by: PaulW on 31 January 2009, 01:31:11
The little orange light which comes on when your running low...

At the Chester meet just gone, Jimbob did a software update via Tech2 to the 'instrument panel'...  Since then i've noticed a few things...

The orange warning light comes on at 30 mile range (as it used to), but it used to start flashing at about 15miles on the range...  (half way down the red).

Its now not flashing till the tank is virtually empty  :-/  MUCH lower than it used to be!

Is this normal?  Or can it be adjusted via another Tech2 session to adjust the trigger points for the flashing warning??

Cheers

If you keep the petrol more full you wont have a problem.
As I remember running the tank low on fuel you end up getting crap from the bottom..

I think normal for the Omega is actually orange at 50 miles to go and flashing at 30...might be your problem...if upper range is set to 30 then flashing might well be at 10???

On mine the light comes on at 30 and starts to flash at 10 or 15 - cant remember as i tend to fill up when the light comes on as the flashing annoys me

I don't suppose it's configured with the wrong code index?

Saloon / Estate difference in the level sensor perhaps?
