Title: Was I right not to buy this?
Post by: The Barge Captain on 11 November 2007, 13:26:34: 03 plate 2.2dti cdx saloon, 186K with fairly good Vx history
Needs 4 tyres, has clutch judder, worn / damaged drivers seat, leather unstitching from steering wheel, but worst of all, oil blowing from filler cap and blowing back over bulkhead. Sounded and felt a bit rough (but are they all like that?)

Could have been mine for £2700

Just didn't float my boat though.

There are better cheaper V6's out there without the starship mileage.

and only a 2.2, i thought you wanted an estate elite anyway, 2.5 upwards?

Its needs a cambelt change as in yesterday but looks a nice car, I was tempted to offer £1500 as its the second time its been on :y

the only thing that concerns me is the 'slight overheating' but it does look to be a bood buy

I asked if it was OK to drive back and he said it only overheats when standing in traffic.

Tempting as only 5 miles from where I live, trouble is I really need to sell my old one first. SWMBO putting her foot down.
