Right, I've just discovered that my egr is leaking water from the back of the cylinder head into the egr system and into the inlet. >:( >:( >:(
How can I seal this off? I'm tempted to just fill it with resin or something similar.

eh? EGR can't leak water?

On my 4 pot the egr is at th back of the head running next to water on a flat surface with just a flimsy gasket seperating them. I've gone through metel and paper gaskets put it doesn't seal it >:(

Opps, soz, had it in my head it was a v6 :-[

I'm guessing thats what was wrong with mine - swapped the engine in the end as it was quicker (in terms of time off the road) than pulling the head off and getting it sorted - but suspect that it also had a cracked head given it overheated BIG style..

Yes, I must really buy a v6 ;D ;D
Anyways, can I just seal the system in the inlet with something? :-?
