You are not alone !
I keep intending to check my pollen filter and boot vents. I'm off tomorrow. I'll check them..if I remember ::)
Forecast is for the wet stuff (not that I expected anything else on a day off) so there's a fair chance the windows will mist up nicely to remind me.

If the pollen drain is clear, also ensure the rear vents in the boot area are unobstructed. Can also be a good idea to clean/polish the insides of the windows with a proprietry glass cleaner (not just a greasy yellow duster) as its the crappy film that attaches to the screen inside that mainly causes early misting. The blue Autoglym cleaner cream works fine for me....
Also, if you run with the aircon switched off (assuming aircon fitted!) then that makes the problem worse....

Could be stuck on recirculating air --- when you start up switch on re-circ, then back off again --- then you'll be getting fresh air in, instead of damp recirculated air

i got hold of some "rain-x" stuff that you mix into a spray bottle, used it on my other halfs astra to clean windows inside & hers havent misted up since :y

I get the same problem, although tbh not badly, and usaually when ECO button is on, (still getting used to best options on climate settings)solution=keep ECO off, run with just aircon and problem gone

I've also found that water leaking into the car ie wet carpet can causes misting probs :y

Note to those with 2000 onwards cars....there is an issue where the climate might be in re-circ mode following engine start up resulting in bad misting.....press the re-circ button twice to remedy this!

My air re-circulation control button only brings up the manual setting (just the circle showing with no "A" in the centre). It used to bring up both, depending whether it was pressed once or twice. :-?

Remembered about the pollen filter etc, but my alternator has now started overcharging the battery and so I was phaffing about with that, so sorry...no up-date on whether I have a soggy filter or blocked vents.

I found it was where I was getting in my car damp after it had been raining.
stuck the dehumidifier in the car for an hour problem was solved :y

Open boot. R/H side by lights, two circular locking wheels, undo and you`re there :y

hi , if you take the pollen filter out will it stop the mistin up ?? :-/
Only if its soaking wet....
Replace with a dry one, saves loads of flys (and pollen, if that bothers you) entering the passenger compartment....
-
If it is an estate it may be wise to open the rear curtain to allow the air to circulate :y

I seem to remember reading that if you remove the pollen filter on a F/L (the charcoal filter type) the auto recirc control will switch to recirculating mode as it detects pollution in the incoming air.
