-
Can you be more specific?
Is it at the forward end of the inlet manifold?
-
the vac generator?
-
il have another look tomorrow as the cars covered in snow but its at the front of the engine /top of the block on the near side
-
EGR valve? Thinking of something that looks like a vac capsule (and i don't have a tractor...yet)
-
the vac generator?
i think u might be right as that is what a advance and retard does on a dizzy and it looks like there should be a pipe on it but i cant see where it is

Hmmm, I'm sure that one of the small-bore pipes connects the EGR valve to the EGR solenoid valve, (which is mounted by the PAS reservoir). The other pipe, (which is missing in your case), simply vents to the atmosphere, at least I think so, IIRC.
I'll try and confirm in the morning ........

thanks for your help

Yep, there are indeed two small-bore pipes from the EGR valve.
The outer one, (nearest the battery), connects to the EGR solenoid valve, (by the PAS reservoir).
The inner one goes to atmosphere.
Mine's been lengthened, re-routed and clipped behind the rad to allow any discharge to drip out of harms way below the car.
