Title: Cam belt
Post by: Loch View on 07 February 2009, 10:07:53
Has anyone seen a write up on changing the cam belt? I've looked but could't find it.
As there is no record in the history when the belt was changed, I figure I better do it myself.
Just wanting to know if there are any fiddly bits to take into account  :)

they do a 4 pot dvd as well, and for the money is well worth getting from the oof shop. Every 40k or 4 years, and from what ive read on here is fairly easy and can be done with out a locking kit. Not done an omega 4pot myself though. hth  :y

With the 4pot, as well as the cambelt kit (not just the belt!!), always change the waterpump at the same time.

Only special tool needed is the camlock wedge, £5 from most factors.
