Title: spongy brakes
Post by: markh1 on 18 February 2009, 10:07:46
Hi all, the brakes on my Omega are rather spongy and have got worse of late. I presume there must be an air leak somewhere.
Is there a common place where air gets into the system?
also how is best to bleed the system? I.e. do you start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder?
Cheers,
Mark

I ahve owned the car about 4 months and I have not changed it myself. So I guess its probably worth changing it.

that might be a good idea. Also check the brake pads for wear and see if you can find any fluid leaks.

Check the pads aren't binding in the calipers as this will give you the same feeling.
