Title: mayo on my oil filler cap
Post by: si vaux on 19 February 2009, 16:55:11
Sounds bad??? :'( Oil check came up on dash display so went to put more oil in and found mayo/ oil/ water on filler cap. Thinking BAD thoughts at this point but had to get home and no trace on dip stick. so i put the oil in and checked it regularly for the last week no more mayo.
I usually do approx 30 miles a day just work and back, since topping up the oil have been doing more milage, mostly on dual carriageway.
Could it have just been condensation  :y or do I need to check head gasket? :'(

Mayo on filler cap is just condensation mate, generally means you do short journeys  :y
